Mindful Nutrition: Time For A Change

Mindful Nutrition- Where Do You Want To Be This Time Next Year-I am wondering what it takes for some people to make a lifestyle change and improve the way they take care of themselves? I guess for some it takes a huge bonk on the head, but wondering if for most it is more subtle. It was that way for me. I slowly changed the way I looked at things and changed my behavior accordingly.

I used to get about 2 pounds of M&M’s (seriously, I kid you not, it would last a day or two depending what day I was in my cycle) until someone showed me that I could have sweets that wouldn’t depress my mood so much. Well duh…. I thought I needed the chocolate to keep me up. It took me a bit to work on this and get off the chocolate, but I did it. Other changes came too… slowly.

What do you need? Where do you want to be this time next year? Where do you want to be when others are making resolutions on New Year’s Eve?

For me, I want to be on this journey. This year, I had such intense tragedy in my family and so many big events, that I dove headfirst into yoga, then added more raw foods in, especially greens. Slowly growing, learning and changing. Feels so much better then aging, drying out and crumbling. Right?
