Getting Back to Whole, Fresh, REAL Food!

Mindful Nutrition: Eat Close to the Ground

Just had an incredible session with a new client. She kept asking about different products and discussing how the ingredients change or aren’t what they say on the label. I kept pulling her back and talking about eating produce. She kept digressing and bringing up different stores and different boxed items, I kept bringing her back to produce. She finally got it.

We are so conditioned to “not” look in the produce aisle and think that we can get our sustenance from packaged foods. Just opening a bag of lettuce and putting it in a bowl is quicker, easier and more nutritious then most packaged items. You might think the boxed food tastes better, but it can’t compare to whole, fresh REAL food.

So, quietly start to introduce more plants into your life. Try it, experiment, play with the idea. Refined foods begets more refined foods that get you sick, heavy and sluggish. Bite into an apple, get back to the living.
