Busy Parents/Healthy Kids: Veggie Time Saver

How do you cut down on time when you are washing and chopping veggies? What I do is to do the whole bag at one time.

Here is a shot of a whole bag of celery being washed. I do the same for just about everything. With the celery, I cut off both ends and soak in a bowl of water and apple cider vinegar (to get off residue). When done, I put into a gallon size zip lock bag.

When I need a veggie, I just reach in the drawer of my frig and pull something out. It is already washed and trimmed.

So, when you need a carrot, DON’T WASH JUST ONE!! Do yourself a favor, do “bulk.” Clean the whole thing at one time. Major time saver!!!

So easy peazy lemon squeezie, right???
