Mindful Nutrition: Focus on Today

This is an amazing and helpful quote from my incredible client that lost 50 pounds. Wish I could show you the before and after pictures because they are astounding. Sometimes it isn’t so much the weight, but the bloat that changes your look. Be inspired.

“First, I never lost 50 pounds; I lost 1.5 pounds per week for 33 weeks (8 months or so). It’s all about establishing a plan, a program, that you can live with, and then just doing the best you can each day. Forget about yesterday, don’t worry about tomorrow. Just focus on today.

Second, everything has a price, so understand the cost/benefit of your decisions. For me, I’d much rather exercise and eat right (pay the price) for a relatively short period of time each day, and then feel great (reap the benefit) for basically the entire day. That is a great bargain and a very easy trade-off to make!

Lastly, remember that we all deserve to feel good about ourselves. Being healthy takes work and discipline, no doubt, but when the results come (and they will!), all your efforts and the good habits you develop will change your whole life – mental, emotional, spiritual – not just the physical. ”
